An Artistic Approach to Vancouver Boudoir Photography

yes you, are art.

I create editorial, intimate portraits that feel more like fine art than traditional boudoir. Intimate doesn’t always mean lingerie or nudity. Some of the most powerful portraits are fully clothed, capturing vulnerability, strength, and sensuality through intentional styling and emotional depth.

This is a brave space where all bodies and identities are celebrated, plus size, curvy,
non-binary, queer, and everyone in between.

My approach is intentional and collaborative. We work together to create images that are poetic and emotive, rooted in a minimalist aesthetic. This isn’t about performing for the camera, it’s about creating art that captures your essence. Intimate portraits that feel honest, beautiful, and entirely yours.

Whether you’re marking a personal milestone, reclaiming your relationship with your body, or simply ready to celebrate yourself, this experience is designed to honor
wherever you are in your journey.

She was able to help me see my body in whole in new ways,
and I am ART! Seeing myself this way really disrupted some
negative self perceptions and has brought me deeper
into my healing journey.

beyond the images

A Vancouver boudoir session at Mateus Studios is more than just beautiful photographs, it’s about the power of being truly witnessed.

Past clients describe feeling more confident, more at ease in their bodies, and more connected to themselves long after their session ends. There’s something profound about being seen, really seen, without judgment, without needing to perform, without having to be anything other than yourself.

The intimate portraits we create together become a tangible reminder of that moment. Many call it transformative. I call it finally allowing yourself to be witnessed exactly as you are.

Absolutely. I work with women, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and trans individuals. My studio is a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community and queer folks. For intimate and boudoir sessions, I do have personal boundaries around certain types of shoots, so please share your vision and I’ll let you know if I’m able to bring it to life.

Yes! I work with clients of all sizes, plus size, curvy, petite, athletic, and everything in between. Every BODY deserves to be photographed beautifully and celebrated exactly as they are.

My style is editorial, minimalist, and intentional. I create intimate portraits that feel more like fine art than traditional boudoir photography.

Rather than relying on typical poses or trends, we work together to create something poetic and emotive, images that are uniquely yours. My approach is rooted in simplicity and authenticity, moving beyond cliché to capture the artistry of who you are.

If you’re drawn to clean lines, emotional depth, and timeless imagery, you’re in the right place.

I have two types of collections: digital and art collections. Full pricing can be found on my pricing page. Photoshoots start at $1300 and what you invest in is totally up to you.

You can add hair and makeup to any type of Vancouver photoshoot that I offer. I will set up my
preferred professional hair and makeup artist to pamer you.

My signature boudoir style is in black and white to give your photos that timeless film vibe, and because I know many love colour will also show you some of your photos in colour so you can choose which you love best.

Photoshoots can take place in my studio (ideal for one person looking for a minimalist editorial vibe) or can be on location in Greater Vancouver.
Travel fees may apply.

I like to suggest 4 weeks before your desired date
so that you have time to prepare with ease.

I believe in consent, and will ask your permission before I share your photos.

I sure do! Maternity photoshoots naturally are a great fit for my signature style of intimate portraits, allowing you to document this time in your life with elegance.

As I believe connection is key to having amazing photos the next step is setting up a call with me
so you can share your vision and ask me all the questions you may have. If we feel like a good fit
then I get you booked in and the fun begins!
