intimate portraits
you are a work of art.
An Artistic Approach to Vancouver Boudoir Photography
yes you, are art.
I create editorial, intimate portraits that feel more like fine art than traditional boudoir. Intimate doesn’t always mean lingerie or nudity. Some of the most powerful portraits are fully clothed, capturing vulnerability, strength, and sensuality through intentional styling and emotional depth.
This is a brave space where all bodies and identities are celebrated, plus size, curvy,
non-binary, queer, and everyone in between.
My approach is intentional and collaborative. We work together to create images that are poetic and emotive, rooted in a minimalist aesthetic. This isn’t about performing for the camera, it’s about creating art that captures your essence. Intimate portraits that feel honest, beautiful, and entirely yours.
Whether you’re marking a personal milestone, reclaiming your relationship with your body, or simply ready to celebrate yourself, this experience is designed to honor
wherever you are in your journey.

She was able to help me see my body in whole in new ways,
and I am ART! Seeing myself this way really disrupted some
negative self perceptions and has brought me deeper
into my healing journey.

Michele was incredible to work with. She made me feel so comfortable
and executed on my vision perfectly. I am so happy to have
the most beautiful photos I will treasure forever.

Artistic Black and white vancouver boudoir Photoshoots
beyond the images
A Vancouver boudoir session at Mateus Studios is more than just beautiful photographs, it’s about the power of being truly witnessed.
Past clients describe feeling more confident, more at ease in their bodies, and more connected to themselves long after their session ends. There’s something profound about being seen, really seen, without judgment, without needing to perform, without having to be anything other than yourself.
The intimate portraits we create together become a tangible reminder of that moment. Many call it transformative. I call it finally allowing yourself to be witnessed exactly as you are.
