Over the years, we’ve sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors
and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children
humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get. “

Hi, I’m Michele Mateus, award winning Vancouver portrait photographer.
As a mother my heart felt broken for the mothers in Palestine living through a genocide. I started to used my platforms to listen, learn and amplify voices.
I wrote letters, attended rallies, but I knew there was something more I wanted to do. Something with my camera.
So came the idea of Portraits For Palestine.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Portraits for Palestine is a portrait
mini session that will take place on:
July 7th. 2023 from 11-3.
Yaletown/downtown Vancouver
We will send out exact location to all that book a spot in efforts to keep
this a peaceful event. You can book your time slot using the link below.
100% of the fund raised will be sent to The Palestinian Children’s relief
fund and in full transparency we will report back to everyone that participated how much we raised.
Not only will you save money, have a portrait you will
be proud of but ALSO have done this for a good cause.
*Typically a headshot or portrait full session starts at $550

HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1
Book your spot
You will be required to pay to reserve your spot.
Due to limited spots we cannot hold spots.
STEP 2
Photoshoot Day
Arrive 15 minutes before your time slot to get registered. Location will be sent to you via email 48 hours before the event.
Step 3
Receive Photo
Your chosen photo will be delivered to your inbox within two weeks of
the event.

My family came to Canada as refugees when I was a child. We didn’t have money for nice things and my mom taught me to sew and create the things we couldn’t afford. It was the inspiration for starting my business, to be able to offer quality fashion accessories at affordable prices, to make fashion accessible to all.

I have been a full time photographer for almost 10 years and I feel so grateful to craft beautiful portraits of beautiful humans like you.
My approach is raw and minimal, connecting to whomever is in front of my lens, showing that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colours, ages and forms.
