June is Fabulous Beyond 40! Vancouver Portrait Photoshoot

I decided to create the 40 Over 40: Fabulous Beyond 40 Experience as I wanted women of all ages, particularly those 40+, to know that they are in fact AMAZING!! 

In addition to the custom Fabulous Beyond 40 Intimate Photos photo shoot to make women feel incredible, they’ll also be featured at the gallery-style exhibit (date tbd) where they and their friends can see their beautiful boudoir images and admire their courage, strength and of course beauty, both inside and out. 

Here is a sneak peek of Ms. June who is in her 60s and she truly is Fabulous Beyond 40!! I love her confidence in knowing that by her doing this fine art portrait experience and sharing her images, she would then inspire others to do the same!

What Made You Want to Celebrate Being Fabulous Beyond 40 With An Intimate Photos Session?

I wanted to empower other women who may be shy or on the fence about doing a boudoir shoot.

What Did You Enjoy Most About This Boudoir Experience? How Did It Make You Feel About Yourself?

I thoroughly enjoyed my photo shoot with Michelle. It was empowering from start to finish.

I definitely saw myself under a different light. Also the opportunity to be myself and be daring with the poses.

What Have You Learned to Appreciate More as You Have Aged?

I have learned to be comfortable in my own skin and not focus on the couple of extra pounds I can’t lose. 

I appreciate me for being me and am happy and content. 

I have learned to appreciate other women and honour their beauty by complimenting them.  It’s amazing how a few kind words can lift you up.

How Has Your Relationship With Yourself and Your Body Changed Over Time?

I have learned not to worry about what other people think. 

I appreciate compliments and the warm fuzzy feeling that intrinsically comes with them.

If You Could Go Back in Time and Meet Your 18 Year Old Self, What Would You Say to Her?

Follow your gut feeling. It is usually right. 

Believe in yourself and follow your dreams.

What is Your Motto or Favourite Quote?

“It is not the years in your life that count but the life in your years.”

What Advice Can You Offer Other Women Of All Ages, Around Ageing and Fully Embracing Who We Are In The Moment (Which We Know is Hard To Do!)?

Be a little bold. Take a risk now and then.  Embrace the support of the women in your life. It will build your confidence. ❤️

Any Life Learnings You’d Like to Share With the Women Who Will Read This?

Sometimes we feel the need to be validated.  We can get this validation from other women our age and other women in general. 

You are special. Don’t forget that.
