At Mateus Studios Your Boudoir Session Purposefully Includes Hair & Makeup

When you book your Boudoir Session date with Mateus Studios, we immediately book your Hair & Makeup Professional. We include these services in your session fee for two very good reasons.

REASON #1

The first reason why hair and makeup is included is that Boudoir can be a little intimidating for many of us and that’s totally understandable. We want to make this experience as relaxing and stress free as possible for you, which is why we include Professional Hair and Makeup.

Most women walk through our door on the day of their session a bit anxious for their shoot, but we found that the nerves go away once their Hair and Makeup is done! Your confidence gets a little boost when you look in the mirror and see your bombshell curls and gorgeous makeup.

REASON #2

The second reason is simply because our studio equipment (cameras, lenses) are top of the line and it’s important to have a professional who knows how to do appropriate makeup for both high resolution photography and also for black and white images.

While you might be excellent at doing your makeup on the daily, why not be treated like the Queen you are and let us pamper you on this special day.

Our Hair and Makeup Artist will work with you on creating the perfect look that best suits you and your style. And if you’re not sure exactly what that is, don’t fret! We’ll figure it out together!

Introducing Jenny!

Jenny is our fabulous Lead Hair and Makeup Artist. She’s award-winning. She’s mobile and she does it all! As you can see in the images in this blog, she’s also Covid-conscious taking all precautionary measures to avoid any risk.

In her words:

“My favourite part when working with clients is the chat about why they’re doing this… I love to get to know my clients more so I can provide them with a look that they feel confident in, as well as feel like themselves.

From my own experience being in front of the camera… I know how nerve-wracking it can be so having that extra confidence boost makes all the difference in the outcome of the photos.

When I look back at photos of each client I think about our conversation during prep and for some clients they are very nervous, and then I see their photo, I see that they’ve transformed and killing it! I’m so honoured to be part of that process.”

If for whatever reason Jenny is not available the day of your shoot, she’ll arrange to have a member of her Styling Team be all set to pamper you. No matter which stylist takes care of you, you are in wonderful hands and we promise you will love the results!
